Dún Laoghaire Christmas Market
Why not drop down to the Christmas Market in Dún Laoghaire which this year will be located in front of the Maritime Museum between the Lexicon Library and Haigh Terrace. Only a 4km drive / 10-minute bus journey on the #7 from our hotel, you will be able to soak up the festive atmosphere whilst browsing through the many arts and crafts stalls. The market runs from Friday 20th November to Thursday 24th December this year, with opening hours from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm Thursday’s and Friday’s and then 10 am to 6 pm Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
Dún Laoghaire Town
With over 280 shops, cafés, and restaurants in Dún Laoghaire, there’s something for everyone, with clothing stores, card shops, bookstores, gift shops, and more. Pay and Display on-street parking is available throughout Dún Laoghaire (average €2/2.50 per hour) as well as in the shopping centres (variable charges).
Dundrum Shopping Centre
More shopping to do? Only 8km from Dundrum Town Centre, you’ll be spoilt for choice with hundreds of stores to choose from including House of Fraser, Hamley’s, Marks and Spencers, etc. Parking in the centre is charged at €2 for the 1st 3 hours and €2 an hour thereafter.
Carrickmines Retail Park
Or why not visit Carrickmines Retail Park, just off Exit 15 on the M50 (we are only 6km from Exit 16), home to Smyths Toystore, Heatons, and TK Maxx, with free parking for visitors.
